ADA, Okla. (KXII) – This week’s A+ athlete is Kale Williams of Latta High School.
Kale has a 4.13 GPA. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is president of the student council and his senior class. In addition to school, Kale is also constantly volunteering and helping the whole community.
“You know, my parents always pushed me to do well,” said A+ athlete Kale Williams. “It’s a good life lesson, do your job, always work hard. You know it helps you in the future for everything. It helps you a lot.
“He’s just one of those kids who doesn’t care to get in there and work hard, it’s always going to be respectful,” said Latta agriculture professor Seth Reeves. “With Kale, I think his motivation is that he doesn’t want to settle. He wants to do this the best he can. He comes from this kid, you know he’s going to do the right thing.
Kale is a member of the Panthers baseball and basketball teams. He was the winner of the 2021 Male Heisman High School Scholarship. Last fall, Kale finished the season with a .349 batting average, as well as 21 RBIs, four home runs and 10 stolen bases.
“You know, I always wanted to be the best, I wanted to produce for my team and help us win,” Williams said. “Always be the best teammate I can be, the best player I can be.”
“I really believe he makes us better, his presence alone makes the rest of our guys better,” Latta Baseball head coach Dillon Atkinson said. “So we’re really lucky to have a guy like him on our team. He’s a cool-headed kid. He’s confident. When things might go south, people look to Kale to straighten out the situation. ship.
“As a competitor on the court and on the field, I love to compete and try to be the best,” Williams said. “So I always want to work hard in class, always want to be the best.”
