Defensively we were organized and we were tough. We generated some great chances in the course of the game which hopefully. the, now our next step will be to capitalize on these. “
Back-to-back shutouts to start the season are the first time both Maroon and Gold have achieved this since 2017. Sunday’s clean sheet is the seventh of his career for Plaschko and that total only includes 12 starts, 10 of which are in the 2020- season. 21 shortened.

âOne of the biggest lessons we can take today is that we had two very good chances at the start,â said Chastain. âOne of them should be a goal for us, and then obviously it’s a different game from there. In some games, maybe those are the only chances you have. We have to recognize that we have to be prepared to score in any goal. “
Minnesota’s next game is on August 26, on the road against Drake (0-1-1, 0-0-0 MVC). The Bulldogs have just suffered a 2-0 loss to Creighton as well as a 0-0 draw against Kansas.
